She's moving again......

I was watching movie at my friend's place when it happened.  There was a loud car alarm blaring and suddenly my friends just shouted at me, to run.  We all ran out helter skelter,  my friend was only in his shorts and singlet.  It was such a panicky situation until most of us forgotten our shoes.  We all ran down using the stairs and later joined by others from the way up. 

After we got down,  they said they felt the building shook. It was the 8.9 Richter scale earthquake that shook Acheh, Indonesia on 11th March 2012.  And I did not feel it at all.  There was no sign of things swaying or me feeling dizzy.

We stayed outside for half an hour and went back to the building.  Yesterday earthquake was an enormous one and some of my friends felt it twice.   Tsunami warning was given in Penang but was lifted up an hour later.

One of the safety measure is to run and stay in an open space to avoid of falling furniture or debris.

I asked my friends and colleagues that where were they and did they run?  Of course, there are some who did ran down and there are some just stayed indoors.

There are some who really can't leave the building as they are bedridden.  Or some old folks who are staying at the top floors with their slow and limited movements can be a hindrance to them.

In Penang, this is not the first earthquake we felt.  It's oblivious that some of us do not run down as some of us are immune to the earth shaking beneath our feet.

I thanked God that there were no casualties or death reported over this massive earthquake.  The Lord is surely shaking and warning it's inhabitants of His second coming.  

Brave yourself, world. Many more earthquakes will we experience.

Matthew 24:7-8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  These are beginning of birth pains.

Different faith and belief

I was invited to a church last week, I went with my friends. I don't feel comfortable when I hear of the church. But nevertheless I went.

The people were so warmth in welcoming us and took us to their church service. I was so use to the pentecostal style of worship in my church and when I entered there, everything was different. They sang in hymns of which I was not accustomed to.

Sharing came on next and by that time I was trying to keep awake. Maybe the monotonous sound of the speaker beckon me to sleep.

We were then usher to attend Sunday school classes and they began sharing about the fall of Adam and Eve. I was careful and digesting of what they shared and discussed. And, hey there are some facts of which are really new to me. I was confused.

But thank God, the word of God was with me. I opened it and referred to what they shared. What they teach, is not the same as in the bible. I found out that they beliefs and their doctrines are not the same as in the bible.

I thank God that I knew the biblical truth and my faith still stand strong. Going and visiting this church was an eye opener to me and I am trying to understand what their beliefs are.

Ps. However for sure, I won't step into this church anymore.

He moves mysteriously....

I was at one of the local church in Penang last Sunday for a band practice with my boyfriend when from a far I saw him. I knew this guy, I said to myself, he looked way too familiar.

I met him later and we talked. I was indeed surprised to see him attending a church. He can attend a church?

I knew him 5 years back when he was my supplier at my previous work place.

Unknowingly, the Lord have moved his heart to become a Christian.

Ps. Well, the Lord moves in His own perfect timing.

I'm so annoyed.........

I am annoyed with a Christian sister from my church. She is asking about my private life through my sister.

This Christian sister was asking about my boyfriend and I. Yes, she saw us holding hands in church while we were praying. And she starts to investigate who my boyfriend is. My boyfriend is from a different race than I am.

She continues to ask about my boyfriend from my sister of which she can ask from me. I really do not understand why is she doing like that. My sister could have mistakenly tell the wrong information of what she needs to know.

She even sent friend request to my FB account. Of course, I did not accept her request. Why on earth, she sent me request now? After all, she should has added me before I meet my boyfriend.

Clearly, she wants to snoop around for information that will lead to my boyfriend and I. She's so unbelievable!

I felt so annoyed and I text her last night, telling her to stop what she's doing and asking her to get the right information from me only.

Ps. I'm not bad mouthing any Christian here, as I'm a Christ's believer too. It's only her approach and her manners are not Christian like at all!

What's Christmas is to you?

It's the time of the year, when the world will come and celebrate Christmas. You can hear Christmas carols being played at shopping malls.

Everyone is rushing to buy gifts for the love ones and it's being kept traditionally every year. Each child is waiting in anticipation and anxiously counting to the actual day for their gifts to be opened. Santa came last night to put all the presents.

It's the time of the year when the opportunity is to be back with the love ones and family. Everyone is wishing "Merry Christmas" regardless whether the celebration is celebrated by one itself.

The world have lost the true meaning of Christmas, it's not about meaningless exchanging gifts, parties and hu hahs.

To me, Christmas is celebration of Jesus Christ's birthday. Christ love us so much that He willing to be born through Virgin Mary into this world. He's a mediator between God and man. We gave gifts because it's a remembrance of Christ gift of love for us.

I'm thankful that because He came so that I may live.

Ps. Just remember the reason of His birth when you celebrate Christmas. Merry Christmas!

The Prodigal Son Has Returned...

I'm truly glad that my brother is going back to church, not my biological brother, but my godbrother, Eugene.

I went and meet up with Eugene this afternoon and I asked him about his second sister's health condition. He told me that his sister immune system is attacking her and there's nothing much to do except leaving everything into the Lord's hand. He took his sister to church last Sunday and even asking me to visit his church someday.

Wow, for the first time, Eugene is asking me to go to church ever since I known him donkey years.

Life challengers and trials he has and are growing through, the Lord have touched and opened his heart.

I've known Eugene for many years and through the years we have struck a beautiful and loving friendship. I have always looked up to him for advice and guidance. The many advice he has given were wise enough for me to go through life.

Knowingly he was a back slider Christian, many times I asked him to return to church. He told me he was disappointed of being a Christian and there was nothing much I can do, except to bend my knees.

From the many blogs entries he posted about his surprise meetings with ex-church members, his sleepless nights and melodrama in his family, he realised that he it's time to return to God.

The Lord answer me for such a long time, the wonder and power of prayer! Praise The Lord!

All in the sake of THE name

Why oh why, must we fight among each other? For we are created from the same creator. But only our beliefs are different.

Of late, the Catholics in Malaysia tried very hard to publish the name, "Allah" on their monthly magazine mainly for their non-english reader, the Indonesian Christians,the Sabahan and Sarawakian who are Christians.

Their request are simple but it was so hard for the Malaysian government. Their application was rejected, appealed to the High Court and was approved. However, it was rejected again by the High Court as the situation turned chaotic.

Churches were burnt because of there was fear the Catholics will convert them. They felt that their right as Muslims had been tarnished.

Christians are living in fear and are on alert. Because, we know that this is one of the sign Christ is coming back again.

Luke 13:13 - All men will hate you because of me,

Likewise, we have to prayed for those who persecute us.

Matt 5:44 - I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Ps. As a Christian, I just shared my views of what had happened. If this issue condone any sensitiviness to your beliefs, please forgive me.

Do you believe in ghosts/spirits?

There are some enthusiasts that hunt ghosts down in places which were reported haunted. Which made into live TV programs where the viewers are being taken and shown of what the ghost hunters do. It's up to the viewers discrepancy to believe whether it's a hoax or not.

Like they said, "Seeing is believing".

Now, I am not a person who really believe in ghosts or spirits; as they are sometimes called, unless I see them. Even in my Christian faith, I was taught that they are spirits out there. So far, I haven't seen any of these spirits, but I have experienced it. Let's call them it, they are not person.

It was in one of my church camp. I was sleeping with one of my sisters. As usual, before we retired, we prayed and asked God to protect us and cleanse the room with His blood. We slept peacefully through the night, and during the wee hours in the morning, I heard a loud tapping on the window. I woke up, thought it eas a tree branch knocking against the window. I looked towards the tree branch, still trying to locate the sound, and there was no tree branch knocking. Eventually, the tapping stopped. Was it my imagination or was it the spirit?!

The second incident was also in my church camp. I felt sick and so was my sister. Both of us took panadols after one of the service and we went back to our room. We slept. About 4 in the afternoon, we heard furniture's moving. The furniture's kept moving for about 20 minutes! We were very sure that our friends did not return to our dorm as they were having games outside. We were either too dazed or too afraid to investigate! I went down to investigate after the noises stopped and I sweared that the furniture's were not moved by any one of us at all! The next day, one of the pastor, told us the night before he had experienced a presence in his room.

I was sleeping and I was woken up by a presence in my room. There was something pressing me behind my back making me impossible to turn back to my side. Fear crept in and instantly I knew this is an evil spirit! I was helpless and all I can do is to pray. I called the name of Jesus and binding the evil spirit and command it to leave in Jesus name! Eventually, it left after few minutes of battle.

And these signs will accompany those who believe:In my name they will drive out demons, they will speak in new tongues.
