Bonuses are just (empty) promises. It is not, I repeat, not a signed agreement.Increment. Definitely. I'm all for long term.I've written something on this topic before, http://twobirthmarks.blogspot.com/2011/01/this-is-bonus.html
I would prefer increment
Birthmark & Angeline:But now you are given a choice woh...If you are the lower salary income group, then it's better to get a bonus, indefinately if the yearly increament is less than RM100.
Exactly lor. Isn't what this post is all about? We are given a choice between these two. When I first started as a junior designer years back with a little over 1k of salary, I still opt for increments. I know I will be getting a better prospects jobs in years to come. If a company can't give me what I want, I move on.
Bonus! Coz got lump sum money. Increment a bit only la, unless it's a huge amount.
